De-Iceing Systems

Power distribution and protection units have been designed by IE by using state-of-the-art technology with a special focus on powe management applications for main and tail rotor de-icing systems.

Designed, developed and manufactured to satisfy DAL A safety level requirements, the current range of products can perform up to 26kW at 270V DC in a lightweight form factor.

Power distributors and protection units desgned by IE are a reliable power solution to rotary wings aerospace industry, that can deliver a full set of key features for the deicing applications, as two independent power channels, high voltage, solid-state DC power distribution to multi-zone/mu.

Icing control system – DC HWI

Elettronica Aster high Efficiency Inverter DC unit senses windshields temperature, controls the heating power for de-icing and de-fogging, implement BIT and ARINC-429 communication.
